By popular request, ARG has created a two-day Season Prep Camp exclusively for female goaltenders.
This camp is designed to help every goalie prepare for the upcoming season in the right training environment. The on-ice sessions will focus on the technical, tactical and competitive details our female goalies need heading into evaluations, tryouts and the beginning of their seasons, including skating and movement, positioning, puck tracking, save execution, rebound control, play reading, puck-handling and game-specific situations.
More importantly, this camp will be about more than stopping pucks.
We’ve assembled an outstanding female coaching staff who will work with the goalies throughout the weekend and speak honestly about their own journeys. They’ll share the challenges they’ve faced, the lessons they’ve learned and what it took for them to continue developing and succeeding along their different paths. Tatiana Straathof will also be joining us and adding another valuable piece to the camp experience.
To make sure every goalie receives the right pace, instruction and level of challenge, the camp will be divided into two groups:
This group is built for experienced, competitive female goaltenders who are preparing to perform at a high level during the upcoming season. The training will move at a faster pace and place a greater emphasis on advanced execution, play reading, game management, compete habits and performing under pressure.
This group is open to female goaltenders of all ages and experience levels, including beginners and goalies who are still learning the position.
This is not a secondary group. It is a development environment designed to give each female goalie the instruction, repetitions and confidence they need at an appropriate pace. The goal is to help newer and developing goaltenders build strong foundations without being rushed or overlooked.
By separating the groups, we can challenge our high-performance goalies properly while giving younger, newer and developing goalies the attention they deserve.
The ARG All-Female Season Prep Camp will give female goalies the opportunity to train hard, learn from accomplished female instructors, connect with other goaltenders and enter the season feeling more prepared and confident.
Space will be limited in both groups.
